Stand Out From The Crowd – Art Journal Pages

 

 

 

 

For the second set of pages I have completed this weekend, I started with a very small piece of wallpaper sample I had left over from another page (which I have only actually done the background for). It gave me the idea from the colour scheme. I collaged a background of those colours and used a Manga wallpaper sample as the inspiration for the girl. I then decided the wording and added the ‘crowd’ in the background. Not deciding in advance what the end product would be means that the pages are totally different to what I would have come up with if I’d planned it all out in advance. It’s nice to just pick something inspiring and work a page around it!

Rusty

I’ve had a lovely weekend creating art journal pages. I have tried a new way method to how I usually work – making it up as I go along, rather than designing it all in advance. For these pages I added the word ‘rusty’ first and then added elements to it afterwards. I have blurred out a picture of some keys on the right-hand page as I had this in my scraps box and I think I may have found it on Google so I don’t want to upset anyone!
